Wenyan Ferry
Wenyan Ferry Terminal operates a crucial cross-river route connecting Wenyan in Xiaoshan District and Yuanpu in Xihu District across the Qiantang River. It serves as a vital link connecting communities on both sides of the river and carries the living memory of old Hangzhou.

Despite the construction of cross-river bridges in the area, the ferry remains irreplaceable for its unique convenience: residents from Xiaoshan can commute directly to Yuanpu Town without taking detours, while vendors efficiently transport fruits and vegetables between local markets via the ferry. Currently, the route operates steadily, accommodating pedestrians, non-motorized vehicles, and motorcycles (private cars are not permitted). The one-way trip takes just over 10 minutes, providing an efficient connection.

From its early role in facilitating the exchange of goods between the two riverbanks to its ongoing vibrant operation today, Wenyan Ferry Terminal has always prioritized the needs of the people. Amidst the changes of time, it has preserved the unique local character of life along the Qiantang River, remaining an essential node connecting the daily lives and emotions of both communities.
